REI Element Weatherproof Pants
The REI Element Weatherproof Pants are very lightweight and breathable. They work exceptionally well in the rain and the wind. These pants are surprisingly very durable and hold up well.
Pros: Keeps your legs dry and fairly warm
Cons: Let a lot of air through at higher speeds, not good for lower temps
ALPS Mountaineering Lightweight Sleeping Pad
The ALPS Sleeping Pad is a nice compact sleeping pad that offers great protection and warmth from the rough ground when camping. This pad is strong and lightweight. It inflates and deflates fairly quickly which is nice for a quick pack up.
Pros: Very durable, lightweight, self inflating
Cons: Big in size, depending on size maybe to big for the tent, a little challenging trying to pack up, takes a little time to inflate
Alpine Design Hiker Biker Tent
The Alpine Design Hiker Biker Tent is a good tent for the price but you get what you pay for. This tent works great for short weekend trips but don’t expect it to hold up to abuse. The tent poles are very cheap and break easily. If they do break the rain cover doesn’t work well and lets in a lot of water. If you go on a long trip make sure you buy a nice tent. It will be well worth the money.
Pros: Light and small, very low cost
Cons: Poles break very easily, has to be staked into the ground, very small in size, takes awhile to set up
Joe Rocket Phoenix 5.0 Jacket
The Joe Rocket Phoenix 5.0 Jacket is an awesome jacket for the price. It breathes exceptionally well and is fairly light. It comes with a removable waterproof liner which also works great in the colder weather. This jacket is very durable and comfortable.
Pros: Very breathable, light, waterproof liner, comfortable
Cons: Can allow to much air through especially when it is cold, you can still become hot wearing it.
Weatherproof GPS Case
The Duragadget Cycle./ Bike / Bicycle Waterproof holder mount and case for GPS is an incredible product for the price. It is designed to fit on a bicycle but mounts very easily to cruiser handlebars, and with a little innovation can fit on a sport bike. This case went through torrential downpours on its journey across America and kept the GPS completely dry. Even when the bike is not in motion (like when you’re stuck on the side of the road) it still does a fantastic job of keeping its contents dry. Note: keep the cord opening on the bottom when you attach it.
Pros: Inexpensive, easy to attach, durable, stays dry, handles high rates of speed
Cons: Not designed specifically for motorcycles – may have to rig it up yourself
